If you are in Algarve and only have one day in Alvor, it’s still possible to experience some of the best the area has to offer. This simple itinerary will help you make the most of your time, combining sightseeing, relaxation, and fun activities.

Early Morning: Beach & Walk

Start your day at Alvor Beach with a walk along the sand or the scenic boardwalk. From there, continue past the fishermen’s village and into Alvor’s Old Town.

Take your time exploring the narrow streets before heading to the Alvor Lifeboat Museum for a quick visit. From there, walk up Rua da Igreja to see the Igreja Matriz de Alvor, a beautiful church overlooking the town.

If you want to explore further, head towards the Castelo de Alvor near the municipal market. While only parts of the old castle walls remain, the space is now a park with swings and has toilets onsite.

Breakfast to fuel up for the day

There are plenty of places in Alvor to grab breakfast. If you’re planning to continue your day with a pool experience, a convenient option is to start with the delicious breakfast served at Eden Restaurant to ease into the day.

Midday: Pool Time and Recharge

Football live at Eden

Eden Alvor offers guests great entertainment with mini golf, pool and spa, delicious food and Trackman. Often, we also show live games on one of our screens available in the Courtyard near the mini golf course.

With the Champions Draw ceremony taking place today at 17h (Thursday, Aug. 28) in Monaco, there will be a few games added to our events calendar over coming days.

Mini golf at Eden Alvor. a great thing to do in Portimao Algarve

Tee off on a journey through Eden’s lush tropical gardens, which is home to over 2,000 vibrant plants and a cast of curious characters. Meet King Kong, Baz the Talking Tree, and Mr. Cob Ra, our playful animatronics who delight golfers of all ages when playing at our 18-hole course.

A round typically takes 45 minutes on average, but players can stop to take breaks and enjoy drinks in our courtyard, which also hosts a pool table, air hockey and foosball tables, as well as arcade games such as racing, basketball and boxing to name a few. 

Our courtyard also serves food (we recommend the famous Golfland burger), drinks, ice cream and chocolates.

A playground for kids up to 12 years offers a fun environment and gives the parents a chance to relax while supervising their kids.

On the Eden restaurant terrace overlooking the courtyard and the mini golf course you can have a gastronomic experience trying some of the delicious dishes crafted by our team of chefs.
