Not everyone who walks into Eden Alvor is there for the golf. And that’s completely fine – because the courtyard is its own thing.
Sitting adjacent to the 18-hole mini golf course, the courtyard is where Eden’s more casual, hang-around energy lives. There’s a pool table, air hockey, and foosball. There are arcade-style games such as car racing, boxing, and basketball, — the kind that are impossible to walk past without having one go. The space has both an indoor option and an outdoor open area with umbrellas and shading, comfortable enough to stay in for a while without feeling like you’re sitting in a waiting room.
For kids who’ve already done the golf, the courtyard is a second wind. For adults who are ready to sit while the children go again, it’s a place to put a drink down and relax. The courtyard food menu includes the famous Golfland burger on it – a tribute to the venue’s earlier life and famous name, and rightly so given the reviews it gets. Ice creams are available, which in Algarve summer is not a footnote but a necessity.
The courtyard also serves as the de facto break point mid-round for those who need it. Eden’s mini golf course allows you to stop at any point, grab a drink in the courtyard, and resume without penalty. This is extremely sensible. A round takes around 45 minutes on average, but with breaks it can stretch into an afternoon without anyone noticing.
What the courtyard does best is provide a reason to stay longer. You finish the golf, you’re not quite ready to leave, and then someone spots the foosball table, and then someone wants an ice cream, and then the sun is in a different position than it was before and nobody has anywhere to be. That’s the ideal outcome. Eden seems to have designed for it.
Also equipped with screens, there are some days you may catch live events such as the Eurovision finale or sports (the courtyard might be quite the vibe with soccer or football fans during international matches being played during June and July 2026). Remember, entrance is free.
Whether you’re a family who needs to stagger activities across an afternoon, a group of adults who came for the golf and stayed for a drink from the bar, or a couple who simply want somewhere to sit and enjoy a moment together… the courtyard has you sorted.
